A little while ago I was asked to construct and design a few escape room puzzles for a new room at Escape Room Melbourne. It started out as just a few rudimentary puzzles… but it quickly escalated and I ended up constructing and installing all of the puzzles for the room. This also included designing an Arduino based control unit to activate lights, doors, smoke machines, sounds and visual projections.
The rooms literally started out as just a blank room with the floor already installed. I started out by wallpapering the room and running an awful lot of sensor, power, data, audio, video and speaker cables.
I won’t post any pictures of the completed room as I do not wish to spoil any of the surprises, but needless to say, it looks far better now than it did in the above picture.
