This is a simple swap the object puzzle using RFID and Arduino. Each RFID reader is connected to an Arduino Nano, and the two puzzle modules communicate via a high/low logic state single wire connection. This way the two modules only need a light gauge 3 core wire in order to power and communicate with each other.

In the case of the ship, the reader and Arduino are in the base.

I found a nice computer model on Thingiverse which i tool and modified to be the base for the robot. I designed it to snugly fit an Arduino and RFID reader.

I embedded the RFID coil in a custom 3D printed set of robot feet, the ship was much more easy as i just used a spade bit to carve out a small circle for the RFID module.
